The only question is, with the stiffer sidewall on the Nitto's, how much forward bite are you giving up on launch? you will be giving up some, because sidewall flex does help grip

With the nt05r my view is, if you're driving a car that has so much power that you cant get the launch you need or desire on this tire then you probably shouldnt be driving it on the street anyway. My maro isnt street driven anymore, but the 555r's gave me a plenty good launch, and now since last season ive switched to zr1 wheels so i went with the new nt05r since they only make them for 17in+ wheels.
But since you would only need 2 of them unlike me where i run them on all 4 corners. Id get 2 nittos and 2 mickeys, test them both at the track and use whichever you like best and the one you dont use at the track use on the street.
I do road racing and drag, but since im more or a road/circle racer i am parshal to the nittos.
