Default i think im selling the z28

i am so tired and fed up with this car!!! its had a miss/studder to it for over a year now,, Ive changed plugs, wires, distributor cap, coil, ignition module, the wiring to the ing module, fuel pump, filter, and injectors.... it has good compression in every cylinder... it misses like crazy and back fires any time there is a little torque on the engine (pulling out of a stop, going up a hill, or trying to get up to speed on a four lane)... when i change something or try to work on it the miss will clear up for like a week and than come back... i put it on a scan tool and code 42 comes up,, i have the carbon fiber ss hood, ss spoiler, c5 wheels, slp two pipe cold air intake with two k&n filters, flow master cat back, and 52mm throttle body..

hate to say it bro but i think you should go after an LS1. You will have much less stress. I used to have the LT1 blues as well.

its probably the opti causing your problems. Best fix for that is an LS1

ok a little update.. i ran a ground wire from the block to the frame and than another one from the battery to the frame... the check engine light comes on for a few minutes and than goes out after a few miles down the road... but the car is still acting up at times... when it acts up the check engine light comes back on and the car misses and back fires again....

new question... could it be an o2 sensor?? this is what im wondering.. if the o2 sensor tells the computer that the engine is running lean than the computer will put more gas into the cylinders... which would cause the miss (flooding the plugs) and the back fires and the check engine light....

the reason im kinda dismissing changing the opti is because (tell me if im thinking wrong). wouldn't it be doing it all the time??,, the car doesnt always have the miss.... i can drive it for a week and its fine,,, than all of a sudden it starts acting up again...
