Default Engaging Clutch Causes Driveline Drag

Anyone ever experience this or know the main cause? I'm not exactly setup for tranmission diagnosis at the moment and more so other driveline components... but for instance once 4th gear is released into gear there is a large clunk and more so there's a slight drag as if I was downshifting from 4th to 2nd.

It's like there's a hesitation, although if the rpm's are high upon shifting there's no sound or drag. Also with releasing the clutch pedal easy and giving no throttle there's no issue. It's more so when rev matching or shifting below 2k rpms. Any ideas?
