Default vette trany

my 95 z28 was originally a V6 5spd car. when i did the V6 to V8 conversion i only could find an auto,, so i put a shift kit in it and have been running it for like a year or so.. i wanted to change it over to a 6 spd so i started looking,, i ended up finding and buying a zx 6spd out of a 96 vette. i put it in and it runs great,, i love the gear ratio and all the power and fun of a manual trany. problem is. a camaro computer wont reads a vette speed sensor. on the high way running with traffic my speedo only goes up to about 5 or 10 mph...anyone know a way to fix this??? other than buying a tom-tom,, lol

ya know ,it mite be better to purchase a electric speedo from a supplier like Summit . sure you can find a place to hang it so it be in eye sight. mix and match all these new electric items are tough and get to be expensive . just my 2cents worth !!!!!!!!!!
