Preferred Spring & Shock Setup For Twisties?
For best performance far as handling, what setup would you guys most recommend? Please don't mention coilovers, as the funds don't allow for that at the moment.

Konis, no question. That with Strano's sway bars makes such a difference

Yep. I have the Strano springs on my car, and I LOVE them! I'm running cheap KYB shocks at the moment though. I have a buddy that just went with the Strano/Koni setup on his SS, I need to ride with him and see how much of a difference it is. I just can't see spending all of that money on Koni's, but if the ride is that much better, I might pony up the cash

hell I thought my old setup with sportlines and bilstiens was good and I could only imagine Koni's and Strano springs would be even more pure bliss

Oh the Strano's are awesome. I had a prokit before and it was such junk, the car rode like total shit. Had those on for about a month and that was all i could take, ordered the Stranos and I couldn't be happier. IMO, the Stranos actually ride better than stock.
I don't know how you ride around on sportlines without putting a gun to your head. I have a couple of friends with sportlines on their cars that i've road with and it's like riding in a go kart. you might as well just take all of the suspension off and bolt your wheels to the fender wells, LOL
that being said, the sportlines do look badass when the car is sitting still. i just wouldn't drive it anywhere

Strano springs and Koni SA shocks for a 1.2 inch drop and handling that is superior to the OEM setup.

Fixed
This is truly the ultimate setup IMO.
I have it and the difference from stock was like night and day.

Koni Shocks and Strano Springs
I put Koni shocks and Strano springs on my 1995 Camaro Z28 this Spring. The difference in handling was significant and the ride quality imporved a great deal over stock. Koni's are expensive, but I bought my last Winter when Koni was having a very good sale. I recommend watching to see if they run the sale again this Winter.

say your cruisin at a speed above 50 and there is a dip in the road, when you go thru it does your tires hit fender lip? and yes, i have already rolled my fenders

that's what bumpstops are good for... you should not be hitting any fenders otherwise you should change your setup with stiffer springs or shock rate

whats a bumpstop? i must not have one. we put some front struts and springs, and rear shocks on it when i first got it two years ago. we've never messed with the rear springs though.

your car comes stock with bump stops. they're little rubber pads that are mounted to the body underneath your car.
I had to remove mine when i put the 11" rims in the back because my rims were catching on the bumpstops when I put the car on a lift

Some one must have removed them before you got the car. Strano can sell you some
