Rolling rear fender lip...
I was wondering if any of you have done this and what you used to do it. I know of the tool from east wood but it’s like $250+ and I have also seen it for rent on line but I wasn’t sure about the whole online rental thing. I have asked all the local auto parts stores and found that most don’t even know what the heck I’m talking about. What happened to the good ol days when the people at the auto parts spots actually knew a thing or two about cars? Anyway if anyone has and info on this for me it be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

With a small baseball bat then.... Your going to need two people. Your going to have to put the bat in the front or rear part of the fender then the other person is going to have to drive the car forward and then back.... Let the car do the work all you have to do is hold the bat

I have to admit that this does scare me a bit. Ive heard horror stories about people doing this and majorly chipping their paint to the point that they had to repaint the quarters.

Mine are rolled. I just rented the Eastwood tool and did it. I've heard doing it with a baseball bat is ok too, I just wanted to make sure I did it right. Also, it's real important to use a heat gun so that your paint will flex, or it will crack on you

No, I rented it from Nine Ball off of tech. Went over to his house and picked it up. At the time, he only lived about 10 minutes from me, till we both moved lol

Alright so the good news is that I used a heat gun and a polypropylene teardrop mallet and did them by hamd and it worked out great! The bad news is that my friend with his shiney new black 2011 5.0 m6 was too much of a sissy to race me! wtf! lol. He came up with every excuss in the book to not line em up. Oh well now that Ive got my fenders fixed Ill be on the hunt for one local.

Don't expect me to step up. I don't think my car has a clean bill of health, and I don't have any money to even have it checked. Besides, I already know a stock Z-28 will ultimately lose to an SS, but it'll still be fun.

A stock SS isn't any faster than a stock Z28. Just sayin'
