Torque Thrust II & Backspacing?
What's peoples preferred backspacing when running these? I'm think of picking up a set and had a set on my old LS1 but forgot the backspacing I was running. Thinking 4-5" in to clear 11" wheels with 315's in the back. Will run a 9.5" with 275's in the front I believe.

Well, if you only have 4-5in of backspacing on your 17x11s there will be enough tire sticking out for gerbils to use as a treadmil.
I would go with at least what i have, which is 7.5-8 on my 9.5's.

I'm going to try to do a little research this weekend to see what it's supposed to be, because i have no idea myself. I'll probably just go out and measure mine and see where it's at on my car. I'm running the same setup that you want to run.
I will tell you this, if you lower your car, you'll have to roll your rear quarters to run an 11" rim out back. That is a fact

yep... this is true. did it for procautionary measures although it didn't seem like it was entirely neccessary ...would never want a tire cut up from a dumb minded mistake

Unless you have a Trans Am. The Firebirds have a wider fender well than the Camaros.
There is another "LS1/F-Body" website out there that has all of the wheel and tire information you are seeking. May I suggest you pay a visit to the website.
Check that, I see some of the information has migrated to this site. Wheel & Tire FAQ - General Topics
