Alright so December 25th I got my camaro, and today I pulled the seats, and center console to reveal some "secrets" that make me gag.
As I previously said in one of my other posts the ash tray was missing but that didn't stop whoever from putting well over 300 cigarettes UNDER the center console. I suppose he/she just kept stuffing them and stuffing them in. The carpet under the center console was burnt and covered in cigarette tar. the shifter gears and emergency brake were also gunked up by the tar. I scrubbed all day to get the smell out (the smell of stale cigarettes/body odor/ and cheapy mens cologne. I got the smell out but there are still stains under the seat. The stains are mainly under where the seats would go and where the floormats would go so I dont think im going to get a new carpet. I also green machined the seats and they came up nicely. The center console plastic was very worn and looked like it needed to be painted by the way the coffee or soda or whatever stains were on there looked. I ended up using this stuff called Black Jack Black Again. It worked WONDERS! the best stuff ever. it moistened the plastic so well the center console looks brand new. Well now im just blabbering. Tommorow i'm going to clean out the Dash board and maybe pull the head liner. I don't wanna cough up the money for a new headliner so anyone have any ideas on how I could fix it? the idiot before me also STAPLED the headliner to the cardboard so now theres tons of little holes in the headliner
Last thing: where would the switch be for power mirrors? my mirrors are power but there are NO switches anywhere for me to adjust them. Everything else is manual besides the mirrors.
