VHT Nightshades - 4th F-Body

Has anyone used VHT nightshades on their camaro? im hesistant on doing it because of the cops and im wanting to black out my taillights so im assuming that would make the brake lights too dim because id have to put on too many layers. If anyone has done it please post pictures! thanks!

gonna assume new jersey LEO's aren't to favorable to darkened tail lighting. believe it's illegal to alter your taillights no matter what from factory color and once no "reflector light" is omitted it's not a good thing with the law. it's been done and depends on how much you want to push your luck. some do look great depending on the ride.

Try ls1tech.com everybody on there has em done and i do also but if you do it right you can get the shade of tint you want

best way to go is either get covers and that way if you get pulled over you might be able to talk your way out of it since you can simply remove them but the best looking and the right way to do this is to have them painted, mix clear with some black and make them as dark or light as you want. ive got the covers and no problems here in GA yet

mine were done with nightshade + clear coat

I used the VHT nightshade. Just ordered some from Ebay. Since stores don't really carry them. But turned out good. Just make sure you clean your lights good before you spray them. & make sure its pretty warm out. Will turn out like shit if sprayed during the cold.

i night shaded mine and they look good. i didnt clear them after and they still look glossy. havnt had any trouble by the cops either

Ryan I wouldn't be to worried about the cops though.... For how many stupid times I have been pulled over not once have the cops questioned me about my taillights? I thought you didn't like tinted taillights?
