Stock Unit Or Aftermarket?
Curious who prefers to go aftermarket with their CD deck or keep it stock and original?

I have a firebird, so I am satisfied with the aftermarket headunit that can rattle the glass.
at 2/3 volume

You can keep your steering wheel controls with an aftermarket head unit..... FYI

Why do you say aftermarket for the Camaro? The Camaro Monsoon systems and Firebrid/TA Monsoon's are all the same as far as I know.

The steering wheel controls can still be used as long as the aftermarket head unit uses a infrared remote control.
The most common interface is made by pac called a SWI-X

I love my Alpine also But I would consider going back to stock if I could find a complete monsoon setup. I just don't crank the system like I used to and I would like to lose the extra weight of the box and sub.I would miss my Ipod hookup though. Maybe the JL Audio Stealthbox would be a good idea. Not sure yet

I think I might switch to the stealthbox. I don't crank it much, but every once in a while........

I like my aftermarket. It has a USB so I can just plug in my thumb drive and cruise around, then change it when I want.
