if you can buy a wrecked v8, it is worth your while (sort of) a guy on the other forum I"m in found an SS that had gotten side-raped by a tree and he yanked the drive train, but it only cost him like 2500 and he got almost 1000 for the rest of the car parts..

just buy a wrecked v8. thats what i did. and i found a great deal on one. $1400 for it and i sold alot of parts off of it so it paid for itself.. i just parked the wrecked one right outside my garage and i kept walking back and forth. its actually not a bad swap. took me for days to do the complete job and it turned out great..
