Key stuck in ignition.

Problem of the day: my key is stuck in my transmission and i stop. shift to park, turn everything off and still it wont go past the click before accessory. i can shift out of park and use the brakes and turn (without power of course) but i cant get the switch to go all the way back. I drove around the block. shifted out of reverse/drive/ and over drive. tried turning on my emergency brake before shifting to park. nothing works and now its stuck. anyone else having this problem and anyone know a way to fix it?

so you wiggled the steering wheel left and right while trying to take the key out at the same time? sometimes that helps to unlock
