I have a damaged panel on the interior of both of my doors, but I think that the previous owner leaving out in the sun for a time had a strong influence on that. The only I could do is take the car to a car interior and upholstry shop to get them replaced, as they're pretty much cheap plastic anyway. Try asking around local repair shops to see what their answers may be.

You might want to check out this before you do anything else:
http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86198 We really came up with a solution, at post #76 and #77 and so-on.

The sun does not have anything to do with it, its the staples.

Hope this helps.

cracks on doors or anywhere in your car is a result of too much heat...dont place your car under the heat of the sun with no protection.
