Exhaust options
Right now i am just running open longtube pacesetter, and it was cool for awhile, but now it is just downright annoying. i was just wondering if anyone had experience with this, casue i know that the stock exhaust is pretty much molded into the body of the car, and i would like to keep as much ground clearance as i can.
Option 1: get a y pipe and run through my stock exhaust.
Option 2: y pipe, muffler and then turn down, have a single 3 inch pipe exit under the car.
Option 3: have an eshaust shop do true duals, and hope they don't drag
Right now i am leaning towards number 2. it would be the cheapest and from what i have heard just one 3 inch pipe flows good. and plus with out duals coming out the back i may be able to pass it off as a v6 to dumb ass ricers

ideally true duals would net you the most gains... i ran open headers for about a month and got tired of shaking everytime i turned off the car. if your strapped for cash then a a custom y-pipe dumped before the axle would be great as the stock y flow for crap. but true duals dumped before the axle FTW

Pacesetter makes there own y pipe for there longtubes, witch i have, so that is what i would get if i went that route. i would really like to do true duals but poeple aways tell me that they will just get beat to crap. so idk, but i am getting tired of open headers, goin down the hyway i have to have my radio all the way up just to hear it. and i have set off my fair share of car alarms.

well on my '99 camaro I was running custom true duals with 3" piping and running sportline springs... was literally about 3" off the ground, and never really scraped. just be carefully with speed bumps and inclined ramps

Very nice, well we will see but i will end up driving my camaro almost daily, and so far with the open headers i think i may have even dinged them up a little, heard somthing but am not quite sure they hit. so we will see, right now i am going to college and funds are kinda down, but this may change.

I am running true duals with an X-pipe with two Borla XR1 mufflers. Except the occasional extra tall speed bump, the exhaust rarely drags on anything.
