Default opti spark question

ok sorry to be a pest... but i was just wondering what a car does when the opti spark screws up... one of my friends is having issues with her bone stock 95 camaro,,,,

what it is doing is when its under load (like going up a hill or passing someone) the car acts like a plug wire or plug is jumping spark.,, everything was checked and changed (plugs, wires, cap). and nothing has changed.. the car doesn't do it all the time, just under load.. she says that when it happens, she shifts it from over drive to drive and it runs a little better but you can tell its still messed up

my original guess was maybe the computer but i wanted to get everyone input before i gave her my opinion,,,,

Could be the opti. First go back and check everything and make sure the wires are right and tight. Check the coil as stated above and also might want to check the fuel pressure to make sure the fuel pump isnt on its way out or the filter is plugged.

I didn't check the coil..... its a good chance that that's the problem... I rechecked all the wires to make sure they weren't touching anything and rechecked all the plugs and gaps.... I don't think its a fuel problem because the presure is fine even when its acting up... I'm going to check tthe coil out today after I get off work.... ill let you guys know...
