Checking Codes

So I have a code reader key instead of the paper clip. Does the same thing the paper clip does. Here is the problem, I put the key in and turn the ignition to run without starting and the SES light goes blank, idiot lights do there thing, and the fans kick on. The SES light will not blink to even show the all clear "12". It is the 12 pin and not the 16. Any ideas?

Have you tried doing it with just the paper clip?

I forgot about this one! LOL!!! Found out the 94's you can not use the "jump" trick. You can in 93 though.

So its like the 95 an OBD1.5 or? Do tell us how you checked.

Its not the 1.5 aas the 1.5 has 16 pins. The only way you can check a late 94 is with a propper scanner. My SES light went away when I plugged back in the Air Temp sensor! LOL!!! I forgot to plug it back in when I cleaned the intake.
